My mission is to advance philanthropy and awareness for youth education, gender equity, economic security, environmental causes, cultural institutions and progressive social change. I provide nonprofits with capacity building support, project management and training in development planning, major donor and foundation relations, grant writing and communications.
"First for the Outward Bound Bay Area Center and most recently for the newly established Outward Bound California, Christine has provided consistently great results working as a fundraising and communications consultant. Christine's projects have included the advising and production of high quality grant proposals and reporting, newsletter and annual report creation, and annual end-of-year campaign support. Her expertise crosses over into database management and her work to help our organization transition from one fundraising database to another was top notch. Christine's organization, attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to truly get to know an organization's mission and core values have helped us move forward and extend our reach each and every year."
"Christine is an expert in fundraising, grant writing and communications. Her writing is compelling and articulate - essential attributes when developing copy to create excitement and interest around a funding need. I leaned on Christine heavily to work with program staff to identify institutional funding opportunities and manage our grants calendar. She always maintained a high level of organization, and personal initiative and responsibility. I would happily hire Christine again and recommend her without reservation."
"We were short staffed on our Philanthropy Team and needed several months of additional support. Christine came to our rescue! She was able to hit the ground running because of her extensive experience and was a joy for everyone to work with. Christine is the ultimate professional – delivering high quality products on time, and is a fantastic writer. She understands both philanthropy and fundraising but also our conservation mission. I enthusiastically recommend Christine and would hire her again in a minute!"
"Point Blue Conservation Science was fortunate to find Christine at a pivotal time in our advancement operations. Her interim support of our grants program afforded us the time and space to identify and orient top caliber staff to take Point Blue's institutional philanthropy to the next level. Christine's work consistently exceeded our expectations. As soon as she came on board, she established lines of communication with key Point Blue staff and set up systems for managing shared work flows. With minimal oversight, Christine helped Point Blue scientists and other organizational leaders develop high quality foundation reports and proposals, concurrently offering strategic guidance and enhancing the quality of our professional storytelling. In due time we hired two institutional philanthropy team leaders. Christine warmly welcomed these new colleagues, and effectively transitioned her work in progress and insights so they could hit the ground running. I highly recommend Christine to any organization seeking top quality grant production and management from a wonderful external team member!"
"Christine is a skilled and experienced development professional who listens to and understands a client's needs. From an efficient and inquisitive discovery phase with our staff, to providing quality research on development prospects, to producing a high quality, thoughtful, well organized and immediately actionable report, Christine provided great value to our organization and was a pleasure to work with."
"Christine is a powerful storyteller who works in a dynamic, thoughtful and professional manner. She maintained the integrity of technical science writing while transforming it into a beautiful prose that connected dementia patients and their caregivers to the mission of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center. Christine is a passionate, collaborative writer and working with her was a wonderful experience.”
"I sensed from our various conversations that you would be perfect for analyzing the SAGE Scholars program and that your depth of experience and knowledge of nonprofit development would provide extremely valuable advice and guidance. Your report and presentation exceeded all of our expectations. Your work is simply outstanding - the best I've seen in any nonprofit organization."
"Before I even met Christine, I had heard from my colleagues about her excellent work as a grant writer. What I didn't know until we began working together is how much expertise she brings as a corporate and foundation professional consultant on every level. Not only is her writing top-notch, but her knowledge of the corporate-foundation arena and strong networks within it is deep and wide-reaching. Whether it was a research project on identifying the best potential funders for a project, informing the scope and content of a proposal, collaborating with PI's on projects or providing coaching to a young staff member on my team, Christine brings the highest level of expertise to what she does. It has been a wonderful learning experience working with her; her input and feedback through the proposal process has always been instrumental to the success of the grants our organization has received. She is a fabulous team-player who is extremely passionate and committed to her work. "
